INGREDIENTS

1 15 1/2-oz. can chickpeas (rinsed/drained)

reserve 2 tbsp liquid from canned chicpeas
•
1 large lemon or 1.5-2 tbsp of lemon juice
•
3 lg garlic cloves chopped fine or crushed
•
6 tbsp tahini, well mixed
•
3/4 tsp. (or more) kosher salt
•
10 cranks freshly ground black pepper
•
2 dashes paprika
•
1 dash red pepper flakes
•
4 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
•
Optional: 1/4-1/2 tsp cumin (I don't use)
