2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cups sugar
¼ cup + 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon espresso powder
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup boiling water
4 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3/4 cup whole milk
3/4 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cup salted butter (if using unsalted butter, add ¼ teaspoon of salt)
1 vanilla bean, split (or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract)
3 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1/2 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg
