  • 1/3 cup (80 mL) ground almonds
  • 1 cup (250 mL) Canadian milk
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) Canadian butter cut into cubes
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) sugar
  • salt
  • 1 cup (250 mL) all-purpose flour
  • 4 eggs
  • Filling
  • 1 cup (250 mL) Canadian cream
  • either 18 % table cream or 10 % half-and-half cream
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) sugar
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) cornstarch
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 oz (90 g) bittersweet (dark) chocolate chopped
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup (180 mL) slivered almonds toasted
  • Chocolate Drizzle
  • 2 oz (60 g) bittersweet (dark) chocolate chopped
  • 1/3 cup (80 mL) Canadian cream
  • either 18 % table cream or 10 % half-and-half cream
