4 cups broccoli florets, chopped into bite sized pieces 
1 teaspoon garlic powder 
¼ cup unsalted butter, separated 
¼ cup dry white wine (we used chardonnay)
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 
1 cup 2 % milk 
1 cup starchy pasta water
