INGREDIENTS
•
1 boiler chicken cut up
•
2 cups Bisquick baking mix (or make your own...see below)
•
2/3 cup whole milk
•
salt and pepper to taste
•
HOME MADE BISQUICK
•
5 Cups All Purpose Flour (I use unbleached)
•
3 Tablespoons Baking Powder
•
2 Teaspoons Salt
•
1 Cup Shortening (or cold butter cut into pieces)
•
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the shortening. You can use a pastry blender, however, I find it easier to just use my hands to get it mixed in really well.
•
Store in an airtight container. Use the same as you would use Bisquick in a recipe. If you use cold butter in the recipe, you will need to keep this in the refrigerator. If you use shortening you can store it in your pantry.
