Cherry Almond Coffee Cake

INGREDIENTS
1 cup buttermilk
½ cup milk
¼ cup (½ stick) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
2 eggs
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 packages (4½ tsp, ½oz, 14g) RED STAR Quick∙Rise Yeast
½ tsp salt
3 ½ cups bread flour, divided
¼ cup dark brown sugar
2 Tbsp unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup frozen sweet cherries
½ cup sliced almonds
1 cup powdered sugar
2 Tbsp half and half (light cream or whole milk are also fine)
½ tsp pure vanilla extract
