Makes 1 set of top & bottom crusts or 2 bottom crusts for 9" pie. This is my mother's recipe. Her pie crusts were always perfect. Her tip is touch the dough as little as possible!

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 4 to 6 tablespoons cold water
How To Make pie crust

Step 1Sift flour and salt. Cut in shortening Add water 1 tbs at a time

Step 2Divide into 2 equal parts Roll out Transfer to pie plate. Crimp edges.

Step 3If needed for a baked shell : bake at 425 for 9-12 min.
