salt & pepper (to taste)
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 cup milk
4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
¼ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon dry mustard powder
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded & divided )
½ cup Gruyere or swiss cheese (shredded, or additional cheddar)
