1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
8 tablespoons unsalted butter, (cut into 1/2-inch cubes when cold then brought to room temp.)
4 tablespoons vegetable shortening (cut into 1/2-inch cubes)
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
1/4 cup melted butter
