1 teaspoon Buttery Sweet Dough Flavor or vanilla extract

3 large eggs
•
1/4 cup lukewarm water
•
8 tablespoons (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, at room temperature
•
16 tablespoons (1 cup) cold unsalted butter
•
3/4 cup sugar
•
3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
•
1 1/2 tablespoons ground cardamom
•
1 large egg beaten with 1 tablespoon of water, for egg wash
