3 lb
yellow onions (6 to 9 medium onions)
cooking spray, as needed
1 1/2 Tbsp
olive oil
1 tsp
dried thyme, crushed
1 tsp
dried rosemary, crushed
salt and pepper, to taste

How to Make Caramelized Onions


  • 1Halve and slice onions. Coat 12 inch skillet with cooking spray.
  • 2Over medium heat, cook onions in oil for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until soft and golden.
  • 3Stir in thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  • 4Serve warm or cover and chill for up to 5 days.
