Ingredients

  • 3 pounds yellow onions (6 to 9 medium onions)
  • - cooking spray, as needed
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
  • - salt and pepper, to taste

How To Make caramelized onions

  • Step 1
    Halve and slice onions. Coat 12 inch skillet with cooking spray.
  • Step 2
    Over medium heat, cook onions in oil for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until soft and golden.
  • Step 3
    Stir in thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  • Step 4
    Serve warm or cover and chill for up to 5 days.
