5 med apples, peeled, cored & sliced

3 tablespoons water
•
2 tablespoons butter
•
1 teaspoon cinnamon
•
1/2 cup brown sugar
•
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon cornstarch
•
3 tablespoons water
•
For the Topping -
•
2 cups heavy whipping cream
•
1 1/4 cup white sugar
•
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
