8 cups warm water + 2/3 cup baking soda

1/2 cup butter, melted
•
Egg wash: 1 egg + 1 tablespoon water
•
For salted pretzels: use kosher salt, to taste
•
For cinnamon sugar pretzels: 1 cup granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
