2 cups (240g) King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
3 tablespoons (35g) granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
2 cups (454g) buttermilk
2 tablespoons (28g) melted butter or 2 tablespoons (25g) vegetable oil
1 1/2 teaspoons King Arthur Pure Vanilla Extract optional
