INGREDIENTS
Ingredients:
CAKE
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup pear puree (about 2 ripe pears, core removed, mushed in a food processor or blender, I used Bosc pears.)
- 150g unsalted butter (about 10 tablespoons)
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
CREAM
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
CARAMEL
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon dark rum
