How To Make chocolate waffles
-
Step 1Preheat waffle iron.
-
Step 2In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well combined.
-
Step 3Add milk, beaten eggs, butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth, cleaning the sides and bottom of the bowl. Fold in chocolate chips.
-
Step 4Grease the waffle iron with cooking spray and add a couple of ladles of the batter. Close the lid and cook until golden and crisp, about 4 minutes.
-
Step 5Transfer onto a wire rack to let moisture escape.
-
Step 6To keep them warm while doing the others, put them on a plate and transfer them to a 170 degree F preheated oven.
-
Step 7Spoon some whipped cream and top with sliced strawberries. Makes 8 6-inch waffles.
