perfect pancakes with homemade maple syrup
These are the absolutely BEST pancakes. I know we all have our basic recipes. But I truly think the cake flour is what makes these so good.

Ingredients
- 3 cups cake flour (+2 tbsp)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 2 large eggs
- 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 tablespoons butter
How To Make perfect pancakes with homemade maple syrup

Step 1Mix together dry ingredients in large bowl. Mix together milk, eggs, and vanilla in a separate bowl. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, stirring very gently until just combined. Melt butter (I let this cool slightly) and add it to the batter, stirring gently to combine.

Step 2Cook on a greased skillet over medium-low heat until golden brown.

Step 3What makes these even better is using Homemade Maple Syrup: Boil for 8 minutes in a saucepan, 3 cups sugar, 1 1/2 cups water, 1/2 tsp. maple extract, and 1 tsp. vanilla extract. Tastes delicious, then I just store in an old syrup container I saved.
