I've been cooking this for 30 years. This is how we like it but it can be served with fresh fruit, whipped cream, sauteed apples, whatever!

Ingredients For dutch baby

  • c
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • pinch salt
  • 1 c
  • 5
  • 2 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • fresh lemon juice and powdered sugar for topping

How To Make dutch baby

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 425 with 12 inch skillet inside to preheat. If the skillet is too small the pancake won't rise.

    Mix dry ingredients with milk.
  • 3
    Add eggs one at a time mixing well.

    Add melted butter
  • 5
    Pour into greased 12 inch skillet. Bake 20-25 minutes.
  • 6
    Serve with butter, lemon juice and powdered sugar to top.
