Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 medium gala apples, cored and thinly sliced
- 3/4 cup - all-purpose flour
- 6 tablespoons white granulated sugar, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 dash milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
How To Make cinnamon apple dutch baby

Step 1Preheat oven to 400°F.

Step 2Place butter in a 12-inch cast-iron (or oven-proof) skillet, and place skillet in oven for about a minute to allow butter to melt. Swirl melted butter across the bottom and along the sides of the skillet.

Step 3In a bowl, stir together the flour, 1 Tbsp sugar, baking powder, and salt until well blended. Add the milk, eggs, and vanilla and whisk until well blended and batter is smooth.

Step 4Arrange apple slices on top of the melted butter in the skillet. Pour the batter over the apples.

Step 5Combine 4 to 5 Tbsp sugar and cinnamon, and sprinkle it evenly on top of the batter.

Step 6Place skillet in oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until puffy and golden brown.
