swiss banana, cardamom, chocolate pancakes
Who knew that banana pancakes with cardamom would be popular in Switzerland? Sounds good to me too. It was given to me by my friend Shauna who got it from her hubby's Swiss aunt who lives in a Canton in Switzerland (Shauna was't sure which) .

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon cardamom or to taste
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 - egg, beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 - ripe bananas, mashed (leave a few chunks)
- 2 - 4 ounces good swiss chocolate ( lindt in easy to find)
- - enough cream to to thin the chocolate to your desired sauce consistensy
How To Make swiss banana, cardamom, chocolate pancakes

Step 1Combine all dry ingredients.

Step 2In separate bowl, mix together egg, milk, vegetable oil and bananas.

Step 3Stir flour mixture into banana mixture; batter will be a little lumpy.

Step 4Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat.

Step 5Pour or scoop batter onto pan, using about 1/4 cup for each pancake.

Step 6Cook until pancakes are golden brown on both sides.

Step 7Gently melt the chocolate then add enough cream to make your sauce and pour over the pancakes for a wonderful treat.
