Another oldie but goodie from Gramma Bea's recipe box that she saved from the "Ish-Tak-Ha-Ba" Sleepy Eye cookbook. I know this is going to be a difficult recipe to understand for all those frozen waffle fans. But after eating these you won't go back to frozen. Well worth the trouble.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 - eggs (seperated)
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 6 tablespoons melted shortening
- 1 teaspoon salt
How To Make waffles

Step 1Mix and sift dry ingredients. Add egg yolks, milk and shortening. Beat thoroughly. Fold in stiffly beaten egg white last. Bake in a waffle iron.
