strawberry fig preserves
My mother used to make this when I was growing up, and it is delicious! My siblings and I loved to spread it on the homemade bread my mom would bake. My parents have fig trees in the backyard, and the fruit is so good and fresh.

- 6 cups figs, peeled and cut in small pieces
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 ounces package of strawberry jello
- - small amount of lemon (1/4 of a lemon cut up in bits)
- - no water
How To Make strawberry fig preserves

Step 1Cook 25-30 minutes or until done. Pour in canning jars and process in a boiling water bath for 5 minutes. Yield: 3 1/2 pt.
