Making french toast is always fun. I use my LARGE cookie cutters to make shapes. For Christmas I use a tree, Valentines day I use a heart, St Patty's day a clover, etc. I don't make all of the toast that way, just a few to put on top of the squares. ENJOY!

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon real vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 package texas toast bread

How To Make star shaped cinnamon and sugar french toast

  • Step 1
Mix all ingredients with a wire whisk in a large pie pan.
  • Step 2
Using a cookie cutter of your choice, prepare your pieces to be dipped. The birds outside will love the part you discard! or, save them in a bag for stuffing :)
  • Step 3
Dip your Texas toast one at a time in your egg batter and fry on a large skillet until browned.
  • Step 4
Pile them upon a large fancy plate and dust with powdered sugar.
  • Step 5
Serve with jam, syrup, fresh fruit, apple butter...whatever you desire! "YUMBO!" If you have egg left over, cook it up for the dogs, they love that treat!
