- CAKE
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 large eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sour cream
- FILLING/TOPPING
- 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup walnuts
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
How To Make sour cream coffee cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350

Step 2Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan

Step 3In a large bowl, beat sugar and 1/2 cup butter until light and fluffy

Step 4Add vanilla and eggs, mix well

Step 5In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt

Step 6Add flour mixture and sour cream alternately into the sugar mixture. Beginning and ending with flour mixture

Step 7In a small bowl, combine all the filling/topping ingredients - mix well

Step 8Spread 1/2 of the batter into the greased pan

Step 9Sprinkle with 1/2 of the brown sugar mixture

Step 10Repeat with the remaining batter and brown sugar mixtur

Step 11Bake 35-40 minutes

Step 12Cool upright in pan 15 minute

Step 13Invert onto cookie sheet

Step 14Then invert again

Step 15Serve streusel side up
