My two loves mixed together for breakfast....sausage and pancakes. At last there is a recipe where they join together. Thanks to Steph I now have the perfect pancake.

Ingredients

  • 1, 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3, 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    white sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1, 1/4 c
    milk
  • 1
    egg
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1/2 lb
    sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • ·
    cooking spray
  • ·
    butter
  • ·
    syrup

How to Make Sausage Pancakes Joined As One

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, vanilla, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
  2. Spray griddle or frying pan with cooking spray and heat over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Sprinkle approximately 1-2 Tbsp sausage on top of pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot with butter and syrup.
  3. Serves 4; If you want to make larger pancakes and for more people double the recipe. Yum...
