red velvet waffles w/ cream cheese sauce
Making waffles one day my daughter wanted to make them red...light bulb...why not make "red velvet" waffles. Her and her friend snarfed them down in no time! I have also thought I could use green for St Patrick's Day and omit the cocoa powder...so may ideas...gotta get cooking!

Ingredients
- WAFFLES
- 3 cups pancake mix
- 2 - eggs
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1-2 tablespoon red food coloring (more or less until you get the color you want)
- CREAM CHEESE "SYRUP"
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup milk ( more or less to desired consistency)
How To Make red velvet waffles w/ cream cheese sauce

Step 1Heat waffle iron Mix pancake mix and cocoa powder in bowl with whisk. Add remaining ingredients and whisk until fairly smooth.

Step 2Pour in waffle iron & cook.

Step 3While cooking the waffles, in small sauce pan warm "syrup" ingredients stirring often until cream cheese is melted and no lumps remain.

Step 4Pour syrup over waffles.

Step 5Eat & enjoy...YUM!
