Rebecca's Amazingly Creamy Grits
3 Tbspbutter (i used salted)
1 cheavy cream
1 cwhole milk
2 cwater or chicken stock
1 tspsalt (maybe more) taste your broth
1 cgrits, quick-cooking
1 Tbspbutter (to finish the dish)
How to Make Rebecca's Amazingly Creamy Grits
- Combine all ingredients, except the grits in a pot. Stir to incorporate.
- When ingredients come to a soft rolling boil add grits and WHISK. A whisk will keep your grits lump free.
- Cover the grits and turn heat to low (2 on my stove).
- Cook for 5-7 mins, stirring occasionally. I stirred every three minutes.
- When finished take off burner and put one TAB of butter on top. Cover with lid or sever immediately.
