Rebecca's Amazingly Creamy Grits

These grits aren't for the calorie conscious! They are creamy and delicious!

3 Tbsp
butter (i used salted)
1 c
heavy cream
1 c
whole milk
2 c
water or chicken stock
1 tsp
salt (maybe more) taste your broth
1 c
grits, quick-cooking
1 Tbsp
butter (to finish the dish)


1Combine all ingredients, except the grits in a pot. Stir to incorporate.
2When ingredients come to a soft rolling boil add grits and WHISK. A whisk will keep your grits lump free.
3Cover the grits and turn heat to low (2 on my stove).
4Cook for 5-7 mins, stirring occasionally. I stirred every three minutes.
5When finished take off burner and put one TAB of butter on top. Cover with lid or sever immediately.
