quick brown rice porridge
I am always looking for a new healthy breakfast. I created this porridge from an Illinois 4-H recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 cup brown rice, cooked
- 1 cup skimmed milk
- 1-2 teaspoon sweetener: sugar, stevia, agave syrup, honey . . .
- 1-2 tablespoon golden raisins
- 1-2 tablespoon almonds, slivered
- 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spices
- - pinch cardamom (optional but really good)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make quick brown rice porridge

Step 1In a small sauce pan, add rice, milk, pumpkin pie spice, cardamom, raisins, and almonds.

Step 2Heat until boiling, turn heat to low, and cook for a couple of minutes until mixture starts to thicken.

Step 3Remove from heat and add vanilla. Serve porridge while warm.

Step 4Note: Double or triple as you wish.
