Ingredients
- 9 large eggs
- 3 cups half & half
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg (i like cinnamon)
- 24-30 slices french bread...3/4" thick
- PRALINE SYRUP
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup karo syrup (not the dark one)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans..toasted
- 2 tablespoons butter
How To Make praline french toast

Step 1In a large bowl,lightly beat eggs. Stir in cream,sugar,vanilla,and cinnamon Arrange french bread in a single layer in 2 greased 15"x10"x1' baking pan.

Step 2Pour egg mixture over bread. Cover & refrigerate overnight.

Step 3Remove from refrigerator 30 before baking. Bake,uncovered,in preheated 400 oven for 20-25 minutes,or until golden brown.

Step 4MEANWHILE, for Praline syrup,combine the brown sugar,corn syrup,and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat;simmer,uncovered,for 3 minutes. Stir in pecans & butter;simmer 2 minutes longer. Serve with French Toast.
