My husband loves this. It reminds us of Hawaii. We think the best syrup to use is homemade coconut or pineapple.

    large eggs
  • 1
    14 oz. can coconut milk
  • 2/3 cup
    pineapple preserves
  • 1 tsp.
    vanilla extract
  • 4 cups
    cornflakes, crushed
  • 1 cup
    finely chopped macadamia nuts
  • 1 cup
    angel flake coconut
  • 8
    slices fairly dry bread
  • ·
    butter for frying

How to Make Paradise French Toast


  1. Mix corn flake crumbs, coconut, and chopped nuts in a pie pan.
  2. Mix eggs, coconut milk, preserves, and vanilla in a bowl large enough for dipping the bread.
  3. Dip bread in egg mixture, then in coconut mixture. Fry in the butter on each side until golden brown. Serve with your favorite syrup.
