pancake sausage muffins

I love that this is a finger type food that my little ones can use to dip into maple syrup. I hope you enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour (i used freshly ground)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk or buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 pound favorite sausage of choice, browned

How To Make pancake sausage muffins

  • Step 1
    Combine dry ingredients.
  • Step 2
    Add the milk, eggs & butter and stir.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the browned sausage.
  • Step 4
    Pour batter into 12-15 well greased muffin tins. (do not use paper liners because most likely muffins will stick to them)
  • Step 5
    Bake at 350' for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
  • Step 6
    Serve with maple syrup.
