This is a very old recipe but still a favorite. I still love them even with all the new pancake recipes out there.

You may never buy boxed pancake mix again after trying these pancakes. The mix is made with basic ingredients most people have handy. Keep the mix in a resealable container for whenever a craving for fluffy and delicious old-fashioned pancakes hits.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
How To Make old fashion pancakes

Step 1In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

Step 2Make a well in the center. Pour in the milk, egg, and melted butter.

Step 3Mix until smooth. If needed, slowly add more milk until it's a pancake batter consistency.

Step 4Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake.

Step 5Brown on both sides and serve hot.
