My husband and I thoroughly enjoy this flavorful cooked oatmeal for breakfast. Especially when topped with sliced bananas and fresh raspberries. Then I'll apply a bit of organic blue agave on top as well.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (slightly heaping) quick cook rolled oats
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup water
  • - - organic blue agave (to top the cooked oatmeal with just a bit)
  • - - fresh raspberries, to garnish oatmeal
  • - - slices of bananas, to garnish oatmeal

How To Make oatmeal with raspberries and bananas for 2 people

  • Step 1
In a 1-Quart Microwave Safe Pyrex Bowl, add the water, quick cooked rolled oats, and pinch of salt.
  • Step 2
Place the bowl (uncovered) in the microwave. My microwave happens to be 1,000 watts.
  • Step 3
Cook uncovered for 2 minutes and 34 seconds. Then remove the Pyrex bowl from the microwave. Then pour on a bit of the Organic Blue Agave Syrup and top the oatmeal with fresh blueberries and a few sliced bananas as well.
  • Step 4
Note: Instead of the raspberries and sliced bananas, I'll top the already cooked oatmeal with a few fresh blueberries, or sliced strawberries, or perhaps chocolate chips. Personally, I prefer to use mini chocolate chips, while my husband prefers the regular-size chocolate chips.
