Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 cups quick cooking oats
- 1 cup puffed rice cereal (like rice crispies)
- 2 tablespoons toasted wheat germ
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3-4 tablespoons mini chocolate chips
How To Make no bake granola bars
-
Step 1Melt the butter, honey and brown sugar in a small pot over medium. When it starts to bubble, turn the heat to low and let cook for 2 minutes to dissolve the sugar completely. Remove from heat, and add the vanilla.
-
Step 2Combine the rice cereal, oats and wheat germ in a bowl. Pour the butter/sugar mixture over the cereal/oat mixture. Stir to combine. Add in 2-3 Tbsp of the chocolate chips.
-
Step 3Pour the mixture into a lightly greased pan and press firmly. I like mine thick, so I use a jelly roll pan and pack the mixture up to the rim. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on the top and press slightly into the bars.
-
Step 4Let cool, and cut into bars. Store in an airtight container or wrap individual bars. Enjoy!
