Ingredients
- 1/3 cup soft shortening/butter mix
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sifted flour
How To Make miniature french breakfast puffs

Step 1Heat oven to 350.

Step 2Grease bottoms of 48 small muffin cups.

Step 3Mix shortening, 1/2 cup sugar and egg thoroughly.

Step 4Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.

Step 5Stir flour mixture and milk alternately into sugar/shortening mixture.

Step 6Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full.

Step 7Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 8Dip immediately in melted butter, then in mixture of cinnamon/sugar.

Step 9Serve hot.

Step 10Makes 3-1/2 to 4 dozen.
