Ingredients
- 8 slices bread
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup milk and half and half
- butter
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
How To Make maddy's french toast

Step 1Mix eggs, cinnamon and liquid ingredients. I like to use a 50/50 mixture of half and half and milk. You can also use heavy cream instead of half and half. By using a mixture it yields a much richer taste. I use about a cup or so of this mixture.

Step 2Melt a tablespoon of butter in a nonstick pan. Dunk several bread slices in the egg mixture. Homemade or slightly dried out bread cut to the width of Texas toast works best.

Step 3Cook French toast until slightly crispy on each side. Sprinkle finished French toast with sifted powdered sugar. Serve with butter and maple syrup.
