This recipe came from my sister-in-law, but I added the cinnamon. If possible, always make this in a cast iron frying pan. The bottom gets a nice crust and it looks absolutely beautiful when you take it from the oven.

How to Make Japanese Pancake


  1. melt butter in a 10 inch cast iron frying pan. You can do this in the oven.
  2. mix the rest of the ingredients and add to butter in pan. do not stir
  3. cook in the oven at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
  4. Then serve with maple syrup or confectioner's sugar on top.
