This is a recipe I made by taking ingredient from different recipes I have used.

  • 1 1/4 c
    sifted all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • ·
    pinch of salt
  • 1 large
    egg, beaten
  • 1 1/4 c
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp

How to Make Janice's Buttermilk Pancakes


  1. Sift together the sifted flour, baking powder,baking soda and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the egg, buttermilk and vanilla extract. Add to the flour mixture, stirring only until smooth.
  3. Blend in the melted butter and sugar.
  4. Cook on a medium-hot lightly greased grill or greased electric skillet at 350 degrees. Use about 1/4 cup for each pancake. Drop the batter onto the griddle.
  5. Cook until the pancakes are brown on side and around the edges, then flip and brown the other side.
