One of my hubbies favorite grits. I make many different, but he seems to really love this one. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch granulated garlic or garlic powder
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1/4 cup quick cooking grits
  • 1 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 2 ounces shredded, cheddar cheese - i always use sharp
  • 1/8 teaspoon tabasco sauce

How To Make ~ hubbies favorite creamy grits ~

  • Step 1
    In a med saucepan, stir together the half and half, salt, pepper and garlic. Bring to a boil. Whisk in the grits and reduce heat to a simmer.
  • Step 2
    Cook for 6 - 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick. Might need to thin down at this point with a little more cream.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the cream cheese, cheddar cheese and hot sauce. Serve while hot. So creamy good!
