homemade maple syrup

Growing up on the farm we grew a lot of what we ate. Lots of made from scratch also. I don't remember buying maple syrup. When I run out of store bought syrup now I always fall back on this one to save the day.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons white corn syrup
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon mapleine (imitation maple flavoring)

How To Make homemade maple syrup

  • Step 1
    Using 1 quart sauce pan Add: sugar, br sugar, corn syrup, & water
  • Step 2
    Stir and bring to full rolling boil for 1 minute
  • Step 3
    Remove from heat & add vanilla & mapleine Stir Cool Enjoy
  • Step 4
    This syrup is thinner then store bought so absorbs into pancakes quickly.
