oat bran hot cereal, uncooked
1 c
oats, quick or old-fashioned, uncooked
1/3 c
instant nonfat dry milk solids
1/4 c
1/4 c
hulled sunflower seeds
2 Tbsp
vegetable oil
2 Tbsp
1 tsp
grated orange peel
1/2 tsp
3/4 c
dried banana chips
1/2 c

How to Make Healthy Oat Granola


  • 1Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2Combine oat bran, oats, dried milk, honey, sunflower seeds, oil, water, orange peel and vanilla; mix well.
  • 3Spread in a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  • 4Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown, stirring once after 10 minutes.
  • 5Stir in banana chips and raisins.
  • 6Cool completely.
  • 7Store tightly covered up to 1 week.
  • 8Serve cold or hot with skim milk or as a topping over fruit, low fat yogurt or ice milk, if desired.
