No guilt pancakes. This recipe is low in fat and calories yet has 3.3 grams protein. These pancakes are good and easy to fix. I really enjoy them with applesauce or fresh fruit.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup non-fat buttermilk
  • 2 - egg whites lightly beaten
  • - additional applesauce or fresh fruit for topping pancakes

How To Make healthy applesauce pancakes

  • Step 1
    In a medium bowl stir together flour and baking powder. Stir in applesauce, buttermilk, and egg whites. Coat griddle with non-stick cooking spray. Use 1/4 cup batter for each pancake. Cook about 1 1/2 minutes on each side or until done.

    Each pancake is 68 calories, 1 mg chol., .4 m fat, 2 gr fiber, 133 mg salt, and 3.3 gr protein. Weight Watcher's point value is 1 point per pancake. Fruit topping is not included in food values or points.
