No guilt pancakes. This recipe is low in fat and calories yet has 3.3 grams protein. These pancakes are good and easy to fix. I really enjoy them with applesauce or fresh fruit.

Ingredients

whole wheat flour
1 tsp
baking powder
3/4 c
unsweetened applesauce
1 c
non-fat buttermilk
2
egg whites lightly beaten
additional applesauce or fresh fruit for topping pancakes

How to Make Healthy Applesauce Pancakes

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a medium bowl stir together flour and baking powder. Stir in applesauce, buttermilk, and egg whites.

    Coat griddle with non-stick cooking spray. Use 1/4 cup batter for each pancake. Cook about 1 1/2 minutes on each side or until done.
  • 2Each pancake is 68 calories, 1 mg chol., .4 m fat, 2 gr fiber, 133 mg salt, and 3.3 gr protein. Weight Watcher's point value is 1 point per pancake.

    Fruit topping is not included in food values or points.
