1 1/2 call-purpose flour

1 tspbaking powder

1 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspsalt

1 tspginger

1/4 csugar

3eggs, beaten

1 cbuttermilk

1/2 cmolasses

1/3 cshortening, melted
How To Make gingerbread waffles

1Combine first 6 ingredients; set aside.

2Combine eggs, buttermilk, molasses, and melted shortening. Stir well.

3Add to flour mixture, stirring until blended.

4Pour batter into a preheated and oiled waffle iron.

5Cook until waffle cooked through and golden brown.

6Serve with butter and syrup. Waffles may be frozen and reheated in the microwave or oven.
