Ingredients
- 1/2 cup golden raisins, plumped and drained
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 9 ounces quick cooking oats
- 5 ounces coarsely chopped almonds
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar - firmly packed
- 1/2 cup egg substitute, thawed
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon almond extract
How To Make fruit & nut breakfast bars

Step 1Preheat oven to 350.

Step 2Spray 13x9 nonstick baking pan with vegetable cooking spray.

Step 3Line pan with a sheet of wax paper over bottom and up sides of pan.

Step 4In medium bowl combine raisins with flour, tossing to coat and set aside.

Step 5Add oats, almonds and sugar and stir to combine.

Step 6Set aside.

Step 7Combine remaining ingredients.

Step 8Add to dry ingredients and stir until moistened.

Step 9Press mixture into prepared pan.

Step 10Bake until golden brown, about 25 minutes.

Step 11Cool for 30 minutes.

Step 12Invert pan onto clean work surface discarding wax paper.

Step 13Cut in half lengthwise, then cut each half into 12 equal bars, making 24.

Step 14Wrap each in plastic wrap and freeze for future use.
