Ingredients

  • 1 cup quinoa, rinsed and well drained
  • 1 cup fat-free milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 dash sea salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • - sweetener of choice to taste

  • Step 1
    In a medium saucepan stir together the quinoa, milk, water, cinnamon, and salt. Bring to boiling over medium-high heat; reduce heat.
  • Step 2
    Simmer, covered, about 15 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat; let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Stir in pecans. Top each serving evenly with fresh berries and sweeten as desired.
