Ingredients
- 2 slices white bread
- 1 slice white American cheese slices
- 1 slice yellow American cheese slices
- 2 slices thinly sliced deli ham
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- Kosher salt and ground black pepper
How To Make fried egg sandwich

Step 1Place one slice of white American on one side of the bread and place one slice of yellow American on the opposite slice. Top each side with a thin piece of honey ham. Have sandwiches assembled so that as you remove the eggs from the pan, you are ready to go.

Step 2Cook one egg over easy per sandwich. Sprinkle with a little Kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper.

Step 3Remove from the pan without overcooking and gently add one to each white American side. Add a pinch of salt and pepper. Bring both sides of the sandwich together. Do not press down or you will break the yolk.

Step 4Heat the skillet over medium-low heat. Brush each sandwich with melted butter. Place the butter side down in the skillet. Brush the top with melted butter. Cover loosely with aluminum foil. Cook until the bottom is browned.

Step 5Flip and cook until the other side is browned and the cheese is gooey and melted.
