This delicious Fried Egg Sandwich Recipe combines eggs, American cheese, and smoked ham layered between buttered slices of bread, grilled to perfection. You can whip one together in just a few minutes, and it tastes like heaven!

Ingredients For fried egg sandwich

  • 2 slice
    white bread
  • 1 slice
    white American cheese slices
  • 1 slice
    yellow American cheese slices
  • 2 slice
    thinly sliced deli ham
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 1 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • Kosher salt and ground black pepper

How To Make fried egg sandwich

  • 1
    Place one slice of white American on one side of the bread and place one slice of yellow American on the opposite slice. Top each side with a thin piece of honey ham. Have sandwiches assembled so that as you remove the eggs from the pan, you are ready to go.

    Cook one egg over easy per sandwich. Sprinkle with a little Kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper.

    Remove from the pan without overcooking and gently add one to each white American side. Add a pinch of salt and pepper. Bring both sides of the sandwich together. Do not press down or you will break the yolk.

    Heat the skillet over medium-low heat. Brush each sandwich with melted butter. Place the butter side down in the skillet. Brush the top with melted butter. Cover loosely with aluminum foil. Cook until the bottom is browned.

    Flip and cook until the other side is browned and the cheese is gooey and melted.
