For all of you Southern Ladies out there here is a dish that you might remember when growing up. I know i do my Mom use to make this every once in awhile on a cold day back in Fla.she is since passed and i loved all of her southern cooking that she did.

Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup cold water
How To Make fried cornmeal mush

Step 1In a large heavy-bottomed saucepan bring the 3 cups of water and salt to a boil. Stir in the cornmeal and cup of cold water. Cook over hight heat and stir constantly to eliminate lumps. When mixture begins to thicken, decrease heat and cook 5 mins. longer.Pour hot mush int a buttered loaf pan. Let cool. Cover and refridgerate several hours. Invert pan and slide out loaf of mush. Slice. Sprinkle pieces with flour. Fry on each side until crispy and golden brown. Serve with butter and hot syrup.
