Beth Pierce

These scrumptious French Toast Sticks are strips of Texas Toast dipped in egg batter, fried to golden perfection, and rolled in cinnamon sugar. They are the perfect treat for satisfying that sweet tooth and for little one's hands. Enjoy a delicious batch for your leisurely Sunday breakfast or for your next holiday brunch. Breakfast is mine and hubby’s favorite meal of the day. We just love to fix something special for our weekend family breakfasts. This recipe, Banana Pancakes, Easy Crepes, and King’s Hawaiian French Toast are just a few of our favorites.

  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk and vanilla. Combine the sugar and cinnamon on a shallow plate.
  3. Melt 1 tablespoon butter and heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Dip the sticks in the egg batter letting the excess drip off. Add them to the skillet in single layer with space between them. Flip them after the bottom has browned. Cook until golden brown on both sides. Work in batches adding more butter and oil if needed.
  4. Remove from the pan and using tongs roll them in the cinnamon sugar.
