I came upon the idea online somewhere about putting together these pre-maid homemade oatmeal packets. Yummy, inexpensive & healthy.
Feel free to add more or less sugar, creamer or fruit to suit your taste.
These will make a nice sized bowl of oatmeal.
1You basically add the listed ingredients into a ziplock sandwich bag or folding sandwich bags & tie with twist tie. Label bag with permanent marker so you know what flavor it is. I make lots of these at a time so I make an assembly line with my ingredients & several bowls. I measure my ingredients (assembly line style) into bowls then dump them into baggies & label.
2Cranberry or Cherry-½ cup oats, 2 tbsp ground oats, ¼ tsp salt, 2 tbsp sugar or 3 Splenda pkts, 2 tbsp creamer, 2 tbsp dried cranberries or cherries
3Cinnamon raisin-½ cup oats, 2 tbsp ground oats, ¼ tsp salt, 2 tbsp sugar or 3 Splenda pkts, 1 tbsp creamer, ½ tsp cinnamon, 2 tbsp raisins
