This is something my husband tried on a business trip. It has been a family favorite ever since.

  • 2
    english muffins, split in half horizontally
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter, room temperature
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 to 3/4 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • ·
    sliced almonds
  • ·
    cream cheese, room temperature (optional)

How to Make English Muffin Thing


  1. Preheat the broiler. Place English muffins on a baking sheet. Lightly toast muffins.
  2. Combine butter, brown sugar and cinnamon into a paste and spread on each muffin half. Sprinkle almonds (the amount is up to you) on each half and place under broiler until butter mixture starts to bubble. Watch closely so almonds don't burn.
  3. Serve with cream cheese on top, if desired
